At the end of our Summer School Program we had to talk freely in front of a camera. We had some time to prepare a topic but we were all nervous. This morning we were invited for breakfast at our professor's house. She lives at the top of a hill in the woods. She and her husband have a dog and two cats and when we arrived we saw even a deer in the garden. Our prof told us that also bears come to visit her sometimes. We walked up to Mc Afee Knob, which is one of the most photographed spots on the Appalachian Trail. On the hill we found huge rocks, so we started jumping from one rock to another. Check out the video! Hiking at Mc Afee Knob

Today we planned a mountain bike tour in the Blue Ridge Mountains. But it didn't go like expected. Our tourguide arrived one hour in delay because his car had a flat tire. Finally we started but after view moments the pedal of Jannik's bike fell off. We couldn't fix it, so we had to go back to the starting point for getting a new bike. We visited the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology at Virginia Tech. The most interesting part was the cube, a room for researching acoustics and virtual reality. We tried VR glasses. It was very funny, because you felt like beeing in a completely different world.
